Fifteen prize categories.
Based on 150 boats one prize will be paid for every 10 boats.
Prizes will be adjusted up or down based
on actual number of paid entries.
Class of 23: The Class of 23 is a division of boats whose
manufacturer classifies the boat as a 23 foot
vessel or smaller, so long as the manufacturer’s published
waterline length of the boat does not
exceed 23’11”.
Prizes are limited to ONE PER BOAT with the exception of Tournaments
within a Tournament. If you
place in more than one category, you will automatically be sorted to
the position of greatest value.
Prizes will be awarded to the registered Captain, and ONLY after
completion of all required tax forms.
TOURNAMENTs-WITHIN-A-TOURNAMENT (TWT): Two
TWTs will be open at registration for the
largest kingfish and Class of 23 largest kingfish. Entries
accepted in the form of CASH ONLY. Only the
Captain may enter and only the Captain may claim the winnings on
Sunday. All unclaimed winnings
will be forfeited. No payouts for TWT will be mailed. Largest kingfish
will be determined from the
weigh-in slips. Ties will be awarded to lowest weigh-in number on the
weigh-in slip.

All Cash Payout (after 15% processing fee) - Payout: 1st place - 50% - 2nd place -
30% - 3rd place 20%
NOTICE REGARDING NEW PARKING REGULATIONS: All captains docking at the St. Augustine
Municipal Marina need to obtain free parking passes for themselves and their
crew members who will be
parking in the downtown metered areas during the tournament to avoid receiving
citations. These passes can
be obtained from the Dock Master when you register for your boat slip. The
tournament is no longer allowed
to provide free parking passes.
Waiver: Please read carefully before
signing. The Tournament Committee, at its discretion,
may ask the
entrants to submit to a polygraph examination if the entrants wish to be
considered for prizes in the tournament.
Notice: The Kingfish Challenge reserves the right to refuse entry in the
Kingfish Challenge to any person or
team that has been refused entry into the Southern Kingfish Association due to
a pending lawsuit, dismissed
lawsuit, or flagrant rules infraction in a tournament. By signing the entry
form, each entrant agrees that the
Tournament Committee is to be the full and final arbitrator of rules and
disputes which may arise. Further,
entrant acknowledges the entry form is a binding contract between the tournament
and the entrant, and that
the decision of the Tournament Committee is final and is not reviewable
by a court of law.
