In-Club COBIA Shootout – 2012

ANCIENT CITY GAME FISH ASSOCIATION

In-Club  COBIA  Shootout – 2012

DATE:  June 1-31

FISHING:  This tournament is an ACGFA “members only” tournament.  Entrants must be ACGFA members in
good standing.  This tournament is a Boat Tournament.  Anglers are fishing as a crew for the boat.  This is a
one-day shootout.  Anglers must fish in local waters.  Federal, State, and/or County fishing laws and
regulations always apply.

SAFETY:  SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST.  Safety is of paramount importance.  Captains are responsible for the
safe and legal operation of their boats at all times.

QUALIFYING FISH:  Fish eligible for this tournament are King Mackerel (Kingfish) and Cobia.
Fish must be caught on hook and line, and landed in whole condition.  Fish must be of legal length, bag
and possession limits. Weighing in of a fish that are not within legal limits will result in disqualification
from the tournament.  Mutilated fish will not be weighed.

COMMITTEE BOATS:  The tournament chairman will assign certain boats fishing the tournament to act as
committee boats.  These boats will monitor everyone fishing the tournament for safety purposes and act as
points of contact.

RADIO - CHECK OUT/IN: Since this tournament is over an extended period of time, VHF radio will not
be monitored.  Captains are reminded that they should have an operational VHF radio on board their boat for
safety.  Many ACGFA members monitor VHF channels 68 & 72.  Checkout and check-in do apply in the
normal sense for this tournament.

WEIGH IN:  Anglers can weigh their fish at the normal locations.  Date and Time on the weigh card is the
actual time the fish is weighed.  Anglers are responsible for proper preparation and mailing of each ACGFA
weigh card filled out.  In order for fish to count in the tournament, each card must be plainly marked
" Cobia Shootout”.  Weigh cards must be postmarked not later than 7 calendar days after the fish is
weighed, and mailed to ACGFA, P.O. Box 2001, St. Augustine, FL  32085-2001.
