The Ancient City Game Fish Association (ACGFA) is open to all persons who are interested in the sport of fishing. There is no requirement to own a boat or even fish from a boat. Some members do not even fish, but enjoy the camaraderie, attending the meetings, and helping work the Tournaments. We are very family oriented.

Membership dues are $50.00 for a Family and $30.00 for an Individual. Membership dues cover the period from June 1st to May 31st each year. During the period from December 1st to May 31st, dues are ½ price for new members.

Meetings are normally conducted on the second Tuesday of each month at the St. Augustine Shrine Club, 250 1st St., St. Augustine, Florida. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. with a social hour and the general meeting starts at 7:30. We usually have snacks and a speaker. Guests are welcome. There is also a Drawing (starts at $100 and builds). You must be present to win.

Our annual Membership Dinner and presentation of Annual Awards is normally conducted on the first or second Saturday of June. Other annual events include participation in the Blessing of the Fleet (Apr), a Fish Fry (Oct), and the Christmas Party (Dec) with Santa.

There are various tournaments for club members throughout the year. There are Angler-of-the-Year categories for Men, Women, Juniors (age 8 to 16) and Small-fry (age up to 8), Boat-of-the-Year for both Inshore and Offshore, and Release Awards for Billfish and Tarpon. There are various other tournaments such as Ladies, Juniors, TFRD (Trout, Redfish, Flounder & Drum), Offshore, Bottom Fish, and Striking Fish.

In addition, the club assists the Northeast Florida Marlin Association Bluewater Tournament (May) and the Kingbuster Tournament (Jun). We also conduct our own open tournament, the Kingfish Challenge (Jul) which is our club's major fund raiser.
