MEETING INFORMATION
This month’s meeting, April 17th, will be our Spring Cook-out. The cookout will start at 5:30 pm. and meeting at 7.30. There will be Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, and more. Those willing can bring a Dip & Chip or a Dessert. There will be games and beverages for the children.
Program: Last month’s program was club member Bob Swann talking about boat safety equipment and how it paid off during the fire & sinking of NEFMA member Tim Martin’s boat “Lit Up” recently. Bob stressed the importance of a good crew briefing on the location and use of safety equipment and boat operation. Proper and updated safety equipment such as EPIRB and a raft is a must for offshore fishing as well as an important consideration for inshore fishermen. Good job Bob.
Interpreter: Last month we welcomed our new interpreter Rachael Garvey who will interpret for our hearing impaired members at the meetings. She and her family also enjoy fishing and are looking forward to being members of the club.
Snacks: Thanks go to Dave & Evi Bruster who provided the great Chili with the trimmings. This month is the Spring Cookout.
Raffle: Dave & Bob had another great raffle. 3 rods & reels, a battery jump-starter, various plugs and lures, a soft tackle bag and a cooler. Winners included: Jim Mitchell, Dick Newton (who won twice), Jim Blalock, Gene Hollendar and David & Liana Chapman. Don Power, John Ford and Paul Harvey won the rods & reels.
