Our Next Meeting is the Membership
Dinner & Awards: The annual membership dinner and year-end
awards is Saturday, June 24th at the St. Augustine
Shrine Club,
904-471-2730 or 904-824-6436.

This
years dinner will be a Steak Cook-out, you will cook your own rib-eye
steak. There will be grill
assistants available for those who are not able to cook their steaks. There will
also be Hot Dogs available for non-steak eaters. The club will prepare all
the trimmings and desserts.

FIVE WINNERS: There will be prizes for the best FISHING HAT/CAP, so wear your
favorite / finest hat/cap to the meeting.
There will be 5 categories and 5 prizes awarded. Remember this is a
family function so don’t break out that one from the bottom of the closet!
Snacks: Last month Bert & Brenda
Walton provided Sub sandwiches and Stan
Yekalis & Donna Westbrook provided homemade Lasagna. Great food, thanks! No snacks this
month, Steak Cook-out instead!
Membership Drawing: Jimmy Tedder was not present to win the $100. Be there this month to win $150.
You must be present to win. We
will draw until there is a winner.
Raffle: Great
raffle by raffle chairmen Dave Russell
and Bob Swann. Winners included: Rusty Russell and his brother Bob, Liana and David Chapman, John Coates, Rene Blalock, Steve Blalock, and Roy White Look for another great raffle at the Membership
Dinner.
Club Shirts, Etc.: Bill Kline will have ACGFA Shirts for
sale. Buy now for the new fishing season.
Fishing Information
May Angler-of-the-Month: There were 45 entry cards from 22 anglers this month. Congratulations to May Angler-of-the-Month Jodi Mickler. Jodi fishes with her dad Joey on the “Prowler”. Jodil
caught a 1.25 lb Spanish Mackerel (1st Junior’s & Largest of Month), and a
5.25 lb Red Snapper (1st Junior’s & 2nd Largest of Month) a for a total of 400
points. Michael Chapman also had 400 points but, according to the rules,
the angler with the most Bonus Points win. Great job Jodi and Michael! Catches include cards received from May1st thru
31st. Cards received after May 31st will
count for the June Angler-of-the-Month. See
the complete list of cards turned-in attached.
Fishing Rules
Copies of the fishing rules for
the 2006-2007 fishing year will be available at the Membership Dinner.
Ladies Tournament
Winners: Congratulations to Ruth Jordan, Carolyn Emert, and Jeannette Moore who won
1st ($300), 2nd ($200), and 3rd ($100)
respectively. Great job ladies!
Inshore/Offshore
Shootout: Cancelled due to lack of interest. 10 Boat minimum and only 5 boats entered.
Upcoming Tournaments and Events: Enclosed are
rules for the Young Anglers Tournament which is July 1st thru July 31st You may enter at the June meeting.
Kingfish Challenge (7 thru
9 July) Update: We have about 60 entries so
far. We hope that all members that are
not fishing in the tournament will volunteer to help during the
tournament. There will be more information and sign-up sheets at
the June meeting. There were very few
that signed up at the last meeting.

Hello
Members and welcome to Summer 2006! The bait fish are on the beach
and the afternoon thunder storms have arrived.
Thank-you
to all the members that assisted with the Blue Water and King Buster
Tournaments! Lots of fun was had by all that worked! The
Kingfish Challenge event is coming along bigger than ever. We still
need help so please see a board member to volunteer.
It's
