E-mail Newsletter:  We are going to start e-mailing the newsletter very soon.  Each of you need to update or confirm your e-mail address where you want the newsletter sent.  You can do that at the meeting or by

e-mailing a message to editor@acgfa.com with that information. We also need to know of those without a computer or e-mail access. E-mailing the newsletter will save the club up to $2,400 per year in printing and postage and that doesn’t count the  hours of folding, stapling, labeling and stamping the 170+ newsletters each month.

Raffle:  David Chapman & Rick Emert had a great raffle. rods & reels, bait bucket, knife set, insulated glasses, wall plaque and a cooler.  Winners included: David Chapman, LeRoy Kinlaw(twice), Ron Kiser, Gene Hollander, Don Power,Jimmy Adlesperger,Jim Blalock,  Richard Bonardi, and Mike Colee. This month David & Rick will have another great raffle.

Speaker:  Will Smith presented a great program on artificial reefs.  He said that there is a possibility that the concrete from the temporary Bridge of Lions will be used to construct an artificial reef approximately 6 miles northeast of the inlet.  He is asking for support from the club and will work with us at future meetings.  He may be contacted at 904-209-0324.  Scott Shank brought his 18 lb Flounder mount to the meeting and Chip Owen (who did the taxidermy) explained the work that went into the mount.  The monster flounder was caught during a gigging trip and does not count on the year-end tournament.

Membership Drawing:  Bob Russell’s name was drawn but he was not present.  SORRY Bob ( :<(  It pays to attend the meetings and parties.  Be at the next meeting for the $200 drawing.  You must be present to win!
