PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE (May 2006)

I’m sure everyone knows its tournament time again.  Starting with the N. E. Marlin Association’s Bluewater Tournament this month; the Kingbuster in June; and our own Kingfish Challenge in July.  Each of these tournaments requires lots of work and promises to be lots of fun for everyone who helps.  So please see our Weigh Master – Honest Jim Blalock and put your name on his volunteer list(s).

Mark your calendar for the 24th of June for our Membership Party.  This is our annual meeting party when everyone renews their membership.  This year everyone is going to “cook your own steak” again, since it was so well received last year.  Don’t forget to wear your best fishing hat, for the best fishing hat contest.  The board decided to have five categories for winners; so maybe your hat could be a winner.

Bill Kline will have a new stock of club T-shirts in for the party, so please plan on buying some.  Since this is one of the club’s biggest annual events, Bob Swain and Dave Russell are going to have a huge raffle for us; I hope we have lots of winners!

Fishing:  “You don’t know unless you go!”
