Our Next Meeting There is no General Membership Meeting this month. The next meeting will be Tuesday, August 21st at the St Augustine Shrine Club, 250 1st St.  Our meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of each month unless notified otherwise.  The Shriners have a very nice facility overlooking Moultrie Creek.  They have adequate parking across from the building and operate a bar for us with donations for Drinks @ $3.00 and Beer @ $2.00 proceeds go to their Burn Hospitals fund.  Social 6:30 -  Meeting 7:30.

Last Month’s Meeting:  was the annual membership dinner and year-end awards. A complete list of awardsis listed on the Web-site.  Dinner was a Steak Cook-out, and you cooked your own rib-eye steak.  There was also Hot Dogs available for non-steak eaters.  There were great appetizers and desserts. If you missed it shame on you.  Many thanks to the volunteers who planned, bought the food, prepared the sides, decorated, set up the grills and kitchen, cleaned-up, did the paperwork and the trophies, and made sure all of us enjoyed the party. The bestPatriotic clothing awards were won by Donna Frantz (Most Heart-felt),  Jim Blalock (MostFlags),The Drury Family ( Most Red, White, and Blue), and James Manucy (Most Original). It was great.  Congratulations to all of those that wore theirpatriotic clothes.  The Fishing Tackle Box was won by Joey Mickler.  Thanks to all who brought items for the box.

Membership Drawing:  Lucky Zoe Waldron won the $100. Be there this month to win $100.  You must be present to win. It pays to attend the meetings.

Raffle:   Dave Russell and Bob Swann had another great raffle.  Winners included: Zoe Waldron,Dick Newton,haun Arnold,Carmen Tedder,Kyla Eatman, Ron Keiser and John Baggott.  This month Dave and Bob will have another great raffle which may include Cooler, Lure Bags/Tackle Boxes, Rods & Reels and other great items. 

Club Shirts, Etc.:   Wil & Teeka have some great colors now. Fishing Hats are here. They have ACGFA Shirts and some Tank Tops, Kingfish Challenge Shirts, Rig Bags, and Towels for sale depending on what was left over from the Tournament. Buy now for the new fishing season.  They also have a new grandaughter Marley Jayde born June 18th , 7lb 5oz. Not for sale!! Congratulations!!!

Fishing Information

June Angler-of-the-Month: There were 53entry cards from23 anglers this month.   Congratulations to June Angler-of-the-Month John Waldron.John  caught a 14.50 lb Dolphin (3rdplaceMens &Largest of Month),17.00 lbWahoo (1st place Mens& Largest of Month), &Released a Sailfish for a total of 500 points.  Great jobJohn!!  Catches include cards received from June1st thruJuly 3rd.  Cards received after July 3rd will count for the July Angler-of-the-Month.  See the complete list of cards turned-in attached.

Upcoming Tournaments and Events:  The In-Club Kingfish Tournament will be July 14th. Weigh-in is at the Camachee Cove Marlin Scales from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  The Young Anglers Tournament  is July 1st thru July 31st.  Attached are rules.

KFC Tournament Entry Cards:  We will enter your Kingfish caught during the Junior KFC.  We do not have Angler information available for Kingfish weighed in during the general tournament or at the King Buster, so if you want your fish entered you need to submit a Fish Entry Card.  You can mail them or bring them to the meeting and we will accept them.
A reminder, only dues paid members may submit entries.  The “grace” period ended at the Membership Party.

Kingfish Challenge Results:  The results are posted on the web-site.  How about the 53.20 lb King caught on the No Limit / ATT Real Yellow Pages boat!  A new tournament record.  Also the Junior Tournament produced some very nice fish.  Kevin Reed age 15 on the Saltrageous landed a 41.85 lb King to win the Boat, Motor and Trailer donated by Big Boy’s Play Toys and First Coast Trailers.  There were 168 junior entries and 240 boats in the general tournament. Donna, James and Linda and their crew did a wonderful job.

Thank-you to all the members that assisted with the Kingfish Challenge Tournament!  We are including a list of everyone that worked so hard.  There may by others and they are appreciated and were not left out intentionally.  We will have a recap at theAugust Meeting (August 21st).  Because of the volunteer help we received it went very smoothly and comments received were very good.

If you have not paid your2007-2008dues, they were due June 1st.  Approximately 14are new members.  Welcome aboard!  The bad news is there aremany who were members last year that have not renewed their memberships yet.  We need all of you back so please mail or bring your dues to the meeting.  Your fish don’t count if your dues are not paid
