PRESIDENT’S
MESSAGE:
I am
excited for the pleasure to serve as our club’s president for another
year. Tom
Buckhalter and I set some goals
we would like to accomplish during the upcoming year. We ran these goals by the Board Members last
night and everyone felt we could achieve these goals. I intend to talk about our new goals at the
next General Membership Meeting. Our
board meeting was a long one; we came up with some good ideas for the club this
year. Now we need your input on what
you, as a member, would like to see; I want to
talk about it at the November
Meeting, please come join us.
We
also selected chair persons to assist with club functions; I will introduce
them at next month’s meeting. One chair
person we are still looking for, is the Entertainment Committee Chair, if you
are interested, please contact me.
Don’t
forget to bring your non-perishables for our food drive in November. We will have a RSPV list for our Christmas
party and a sign-up sheet for what type of covered dish you will bring. Last, and most important, we will have a
sign-up sheet for the kid’s Christmas and Santa’s visit, this sheet has to
include your children’s name and age.
May
God continue to Bless America!
Hope
your fishing lines stay tight.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE (July 2006)
(The
editor wrote this based on Donna’s
input. Any mistakes or
omissions are the editor’s)
Annual membership
dinner and year-end awards: Donna gave special thanks to
David & Liana
Chapman, Bill Kline, Bert & Brenda Walton, John
& Michele Waldron, John & Ruth Jordan,James & Linda Manucy, Pierre
& Anita Pierce, David & Evi Bruster, Carmel Cunningham, and Stephanie
Burt. I’m sure there are others and they are
appreciated and were not left out intentionally. It was a great event!
Thank-you
to all the members that assisted with the Kingfish Challenge
Tournament! This is only a 10 page
newsletter so there is not room to list
everyone that worked so hard. We will have a recap at
the July Meeting (July
18th). Except
for the weather, it went very smoothly and comments received were
very good.
If
you have not paid your 2006-2007
dues, they were due June 1st. We
have 51 Families paid, 24
Singles paid, and 5 Life Members. Approximately 20 are
new members. Welcome aboard! The bad news is there are 51
Families and 34 Singles who were
members last year that have not renewed their
memberships yet.
We need all of you back so please mail or bring your dues to the
meeting. Your fish don’t count if your
dues are not paid.
