Fishing Information

January Angler of the Month: 13 entry cards from 7 anglers this month. Congratulations to angler-of-the-month Royal Acuff.  Royal fishing on the “Giggling Gator” and the “Fazio”, caught a 9.7 lb & 8.75 lb Sheepshead (1st Place Mens's & 1st and 2nd largest of month) for a total of 5 points. Also, Amanda Harvey caught a 10.3 lb Pompey Drum  (1st Place Juniors) and her sister Marisa Harvey caught a 10.2 lb Pompey Drum  (2nd Place Juniors). Great job! Cut-off was December 27th thru January 28th.  IMPORTANT - Make sure you MAIL your cards not later than 7 days after the fish is caught and that the fish meets the club minimum weight requirement.  Minimum weights are listed on the Year-End Board.  Unfortunately, there were several that did not meet these requirements.  Also, if there is not a BOAT NAME entered on the card, I must assume you are fishing from shore, pier, or with a non-member.  N/A will be entered for the boat name.  See the list of cards turned-in attached.

Spring Kickoff Tournament:  The Spring Kickoff Tournament starts February 1st and ends March 31st.  This is an inshore tournament for Redfish, Flounder, Trout (Spotted Seatrout is closed February 1st thru 28th), Drum (Pompey and Black), Pompano, and Whiting.  This is a points tournament and a total of  $600 will be awarded to the 1st ($300), 2nd ($200), and 3rd ($100) place top anglers.  Entry is $10 per adult angler and $5 for junior and small-frys.  Call James Manucy at 904-824-6436 to enter.  Complete rules are enclosed.
