NOTICE: There will not be a General meeting on Tuesday September 16th.  Our Next Meeting is Saturday, September 20th at the St. Augustine Shrine Club, 250 1st St.  There will be the weigh-in for the B.S. Open Tournament from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm followed by a fish fry, awards and raffle beginning at 6:00 pm.  Bring the kids and your camera, Ronald McDonald will be there. It looks like a lot of fun with great prizes.  It is meant to show our appreciation to the many Bait Shops that support our club by weighing our fish.  Please help by entering or helping work the tournament.

This Month’s Program:  David Chapman will report on the Kingfish Challenge. We will present the club’s donation to the Ronald McDonald House (Ronald McDonald will be there to receive the check).

:Nomination of Officers: This is the time for nomination of club officers which are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 5 Directors (the Past President also serves as a Director).  The Board operates the club’s business and is very important to the club.  We need a President and Vice President and we also need some new members to serve on the Board.  You may also submit nominations from the floor providing the person nominated is willing to accept the office. You can also volunteer to Chair or serve on Committees. Step up and volunteer, it is a very rewarding experience and you get to work with some great people.  Election will be October 21th.

Membership Drawing: Be there this month to win $100.  You must be present to win.   It pays to attend the meetings.

Raffle:   This month David and Rick  will have another great raffle which may include Cooler, Lure Bags/Tackle Boxes, Rods & Reels and other great items.

Club Shirts, Etc.:   Wil & Teeka have some great colors now. Fishing Hats are here. They have ACGFA Shirts and some Tank Tops, Kingfish Challenge Shirts, Rig Bags, and Towels for sale depending on what was left over from the Tournament. Teeka is taking special orders for Christmas gifts now.

Membership:  A reminder, only dues paid members may submit entries.  The “grace” period ended at the Membership Party.  Unfortunatally, there were several cards submitted for members who have not renewed their 08-09 membership and they could not be counted.  If your cards are not on the list and if that is not the case please contact a Board Member and we will check it out.  If our records show that you have NOT paid your dues for 08 - 09 your adress label is printed in RED.  If you have paid your dues please contact a Board Member.  We appreciate all of our members and look forward to your continued membership.  Membership forms are available at acgfa.com

Fishing Information

Year-end and In-Club Tournament Spread Sheets: The Newsletter is limited to 5 pages because of postage  and printing expenses and there is too much information required to report the club’s year-end and in-club tournaments.  Therefore, there are no Spread Sheets included in the Newsletter, instead, there are pages with the Year-End Tournament Standings and the In-Club Tournament Standings. The Spread Sheets with detailed entries and scoring are now posted on the web-site (acgfa.com).  They are under the link “Fishing Reportlocated in the left column of the “home page”.  They are grouped as “Year-End Tournaments” and “In-Club Tournaments”. If you have a problem finding them or if there are members without a computer or access to the web, please let me know and we will work out a solution.
